You grab the angle grinder and start cutting.

Got bored and cut the entire exhaust from after the catalytic converter on. The two bolts you see in the video wouldn’t cooperate. Sound is raw, but adds a lot of vibration in the cabin. I kept the exhaust, and plan on replacing the resonator with straight piping, and adding a Borla Pro XS muffler on the end of it. F or the next few days, though, I’ll deal with the noise and vibration. It’s a Rallyvan anyways right?!

You have reached step 4 of the “make things stop existing” flow chart

Funny thing is I started at 2, then skipped right to 4

Yeah, I should make a revised chart which starts at 2, progresses to 3, then adds an impact wrench between the long bar and the grinder

Depending on articulation, I usually just go stra ight to impact

Its amazing how effective of a muffler catalytic converters are. My racecar’s (1st generation integra) first few races were with the OEM exhaust system cut off a few feet behind the converter. It was, by far, the quietest car on track with the just the OEM manifold and cat. The sound readings were in the 70's decibel range. The car would pass the sound guys in the low 90's once I did the full exhaust in the form of a port-matched, ceramic coated header, flex pipe and 2.5" mand re l tubing back to flowmaster 40 series.

Yeah, impact will actually break a lot loose vs snap bolts.  The shock and quick hits tend to work better.  And if it snaps, it was going to snap anyway.
